Heritage
Stone Art knows stone! I have collected stone, minerals and fossils
around the world all of my life. Drawing from this experience I have
created a special mixture of stone, shell and fossil from over five
different and significant geographical areas. Along with design, this
special mixture is the key ingredient that makes my work stand out
and easily recognizable for authenticity: colour; texture; shape -
Heritage Stone Art is very rare work and our customers love it and
our customers are visionary and appreciative of quality craftsmanship
and unique functional works of art. I am constantly told that at first
it is a birdhouse or a feeder, or a tile, etc. but then over time
it unfolds and expands into a treasure of endless details that the
work seems to present to the viewer at the time when that experience
is most needed - thematic art. We take great care in preparing our
stone throughout the process from cleaning and etching to bonding
and then sealing - our stone is alive! Our sealing materials allow
the stone to breath and continue to experience the elements.
I will gladly make custom works using some of your own favourite stones
or shells etc., you only need to provide me with the material and
I will incorporate it into a one of a kind heirloom especially for
you.
A lifetime of creative work, formal training in oil painting and printmaking,
20 years of manufacturing operations - design and management and engineering
and a lifetime of stone and rock collecting, gardening and birding
have come together to provide one of a kind, available works - Encouraged
by my sisters and inspired by nature!
