Samuel Bird is allowed to
settle upon and cultivate Lot Number One in the vacant Range, of the
west side of the Cardigan Road; containing two hundred acres provided
that, at the end of the time limited by the Royal Instructions, (Six
Months) he take out a Grant of the same; otherwise the said Lot with all
the improvements made on it, will be forfeited to the Crown. If these conditions be fully complied with, the said (a Town Lot in addition has been stroked out) By Command of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor signed: Tho.
